Altered Veranda Workshop Details

Hey everyone! Last week was so crazy that I ended up resting most of the weekend. So here are the details about my class for the Altered Veranda Workshop.

I've decided to extend the deadline for signing up due to my lateness in posting this. Deadline for advanced booking with discount price when paid in advance will be Wednesday, April 14.

I'll also be offering a discounted price to those who pay for the class in advance. If I get paid in advance, my hubby is happy and less cranky. A less cranky hubby is worth a cut in the price for me.

I've also changed the workshop a little to accomodate both those who are looking to make only one canvas and those scrapaholics who are interested in it ALL. I've also added some optional add-ons to those who want to create a customized item and/or who are looking to bling it all up. Please note that I am offering FREE shipping on all upgrades and add-ons when ordered and paid for by April 14. Twitterpatted Tri-shutter Album

Here is another project I've been working on. I'm not ready to post the instructions yet or the class schedule for this yet, but I just had to share.

I got the instructions to make the tri-fold shutter album here http://scrapthat-myheartmyart.blogspot.com/2009/09/tri-shutter-mini-album-tutorial.html#comment-form but all other artwork is my own. Feel free to scraplift for your own project, but please don't use this to submit to any contests or anything, ok?

Here is the cover:

Here's a look at it when you open both cover flaps:

Here's a peek into the next flap:

Here's a peek into the last part. The bunny is my absolute favorite part of this whole project.

And here is the whole project:

For those of you who are interested, I'm thinking this will be one of my classes I'll offer in May or early June. I'll keep you posted with details.

Veranda Altered Canvas Class on April 24.

Here are some pictures of my upcoming class on Saturday, April 24 from 10:30AM - 1PM.
I'm still putting all the information together for the workshop but wanted to post some pics of what we'll be making.

Here is the completed project. Veranda is turning out to be one of my favorite paper packs to use.

Here is a close-up of one of the paper flowers we'll be making. I loved how this turned out and how cheap it is to make.

Here's a close-up of another paper flower I made in a different paper. You can also see the dimensional elements really well.

I hope you like the teaser and will post class details soon. Also I believe in giving credit where credit is due, so this class has been based on an idea from Jennifer Watkins, another talented CTMH consultant.

Christmas cards are done and will (hopefully) mail tomorrow

So I finished my Christmas cards on Sunday evening. I'm definitely glad I used "Wishes" to make them. Thanks to this Close to My Heart (CTMH) book I was able to make all 20 of my cards within a 5 hour period. This has to be a record for me. And I didn't even have to work non-stop to do it either. Bonus.

I took pics this morning and got my hubby to start signing the cards.

Fun at the Scrapbook Princess

It was a horrible rainy day today, but I got to have fun scrapbooking at the Scrapbook Princess. They always make you feel at home there so I had a great day (especially considering the weather).

I used CTMH's "Wishes" Guide book for the first time today and absolutely fell in love with it. I never really make cards, so in the past whenever I tried to it took FOREVER, had trouble thinking of ideas and usually ended up not finishing.

Thanks to "Wishes" though, using only 4 pieces of cardstock, 2 pieces of B&T Duos paper and the card bases I was able to cut out all of the pieces necessary to make 20 cards and even assemble, stamp and decorate over half of them today. Since the rest of the cards are already cut out, I just have to assemble them and add the finishing touches. I figure I'll be able to finish them up tomorrow and will be able to ship them out next week. Woo hoo!!! Thank you "Wishes"!!!

I'll try to post pics of the finished products when I'm done.

First Time Blogger Blues

Ok, so first it's 6AM on a Saturday and I've been up since 4:30 when my husband's fart woke me up. Not the best way to start the day. Next, it's taken me till now to figure out how to make a pretty background to my blog after clicking on all sorts of things over the web for a week.

Still left to do is to upload the links to my Close to My Heart site. Still no luck on that one. Can't wait to see what happens when I try to upload pics into this site.

Wish me luck.
